Planned content:
- Gear confirmed — gloves, footwear, water, phone charge, ID, basic first aid. Links to What to Carry to the River for the full gear guide.
- Safety basics read — confirm you have read Safety & Ethics Basics.
- Emergency contacts saved — local hospital number, your organiser’s number, and one backup contact who knows you are at the river.
- Site confirmed — you know the exact location, how to get there, and who is leading the session.
- Your role confirmed — you know what you are doing on the day (collection, documentation, coordination) and have been briefed.
- Weather checked — especially critical for monsoon visits; site-specific flood and current risk awareness.
- Post-visit plan confirmed — you know where waste goes after the drive, and what data to submit and to whom.
